Who can use Yours. You need to be 18 or over. Agreeing to these terms confirms you are.
What Yours is. You write a message, and it drifts on real ocean currents. A stranger may find it, or no one ever will. There is no reply, and no way to reach the person who wrote what you find, or who finds what you wrote.
What you may not write. Don’t write or send anything that threatens, harasses or demeans anyone; sexual content or nudity; anything that sexualises or exploits children; hatred towards any group; a photo that shows someone in a way they wouldn’t want shared; anything that breaks the law or someone else’s rights. Illegal material is preserved and reported to the authorities, and the account that sent it is removed.
How messages are checked. Every message is checked before anyone can find it. Anything already in the water can be reported from the app.
Reports. We act on every report within 24 hours. If a message breaks these terms, it is removed, and so is the account that wrote it.
Blocking. You can block whoever sent a bottle. You’ll never see anything from them again, and they won’t know.
Your words. They’re yours. By sending them, you let us show them to whoever finds the bottle and to anyone it’s passed on to. If you delete your account, your words are taken out of the water. A copy someone has already kept stays with them, with nothing linking it to you.
No promises about the sea. We don’t promise that any message will be found, or when.
Leaving. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or at yours.14everywhere.com/delete-account. We may remove an account that breaks these terms.
Changes. If these terms change, you’ll be asked to agree again before you continue.
